Thanks to everyone who made suggestions on Texas Rising for the panel in Austin on Saturday. Consensus from everyone is that it is the usual Hollywood travesty, bad history, incorrect data, and DEAR GOD, since when did Monument Valley wind up in South Texas? The panel provided good input from a variety of sources–Native American, business men, journalists, government officials, community activists and me! Good group with good turnout at Emma Barrientos Community Center, Austin, Tx. Thanks Dan Arellano for putting it together.
